JoyStickMusicMachine

Well, my contribution to the on-going exploration is the JoyStickMusicMachine, a real-time interface to computer synthesis algorithms. The program uses two joysticks to control computer synthesis algorithms. What aspect of the sound the joysticks control can be programmed with a beautiful NEXTSTEP GUI. It was programmed in Objective-C using the CCRMA MusicKit on NEXTSTEP computers. I will put it out as freeware under the GNU license when it is in a worthy state, but as of this version of the MusicKit, you must have a PC (for the joysticks) with one of three Motorola DSP 56001 cards: Ariel PC56D (discontinued), Turtle Beach Multisound, or the i*link i56, which I have. As soon as a new release of the MusicKit allows the synthesis algorithms to run on the main processor, this program will work on any PC running NEXTSTEP.

Csound

Csound is a music programming system. The basic structure consists of an orchestra file, where the instruments are defined, and a score file, where the instruments are controlled.
